My love for events began with planning my siblings birthday parties, and developed in formality as a diplomat’s daughter, entertaining foreign dignitaries and volunteering at charitable events.
While in college, I pursued Arts Management - a mix of Theater, Art & Business, that brought out skills in balancing artistic vision with budget - which is the key to success in the events industry!
When I moved to Los Angeles in 2009, as most recent graduates do, I juggled a few internships in Hollywood before a position opened at the prestigious Creative Artists Agency. After volunteering to plan their ‘Young Hollywood Party’, on a whim rather than a work assignment, I quickly realized that my passion was not in pushing scripts, but in planning the industries’ parties and premieres.
I went on to work for two very well established catering companies, handling off-site events. I continued to learn, building on prior production experience to become savvy in logistics, coordinating multiple vendors onsite, and reveling in the details.
As an American mix with Filipino and Japanese ancestry, I've grown up around some exotic foods! I have been fortunate enough to have traveled extensively from a young age, and so enjoy applying my knowledge of different themes and cuisines with my clients.
My love of food developed further working closely in busy catering kitchensamong talented Chefs. Through their mentoring, I developed skills in menu development, appreciating both seasonal & local ingredients. Together, we navigated dietary restrictions of our most astute clients, always ensuring a good meal, and impeccable hospitality.
I am based in Los Angeles, California with rescue pup Roscoe! I love to explore the diverse city through food, and endeavor to do even more world travel!
In my spare time, I also coach for Landmark Worldwide empowering others to live a life they love!
